Review - Slimline

Babeland have been kind enough to send me a new toy to review, the Slimline vibrator. It arrived a couple of days ago and on opening the package my first impressions were it’s fairly standard. It comes in a variety of colours (we have pink), is 8 inches long with a width of 1-1/4 inches, not what I would call slimline but I guess that’s a matter of opinion. Once I’d unpacked it and popped the two C batteries in, I turned it on to see what the vibrations were like. It has a reasonable range from very light to fairly intense, it’s not incremental by number, you simply turn the base to increase the vibrations. This makes it very controllable as well as meaning you don’t have to find the right button or toggle through different settings to get it to do what you want. Easy, straightforward and useful when you’re concentrating on other things.

It’s made of plastic so has a hard exterior which is fine but personally I prefer something with a bit of give on the outside. At certain angles it can be pretty noisy, not a problem if you don’t mind making a noise but if you are not alone - well you might want to be careful. Also because the change in volume is a bit unpredictable it can be distracting. To be honest I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the feel of it because of its hard surface but actually it certainly worked for me which was a pleasant surprise.

Conclusion, it’s not out of this world but it does its job. The Slimline is a reliable and simple toy, it’s solid, durable and handy to have around.

You might also want to check out some of the festive offers over at Babeland.
