I received the Cry Baby from Babeland recently. The Cry Baby is a cordless, remote-control vibrator, well I certainly liked that idea. It’s made of ABS hard plastic, doesn’t contain phthalates and is cleaned with soap and water. The remote control takes 1 LR23 12v battery and the vibrating component takes 2 AAA 1.5v batteries. Don’t do what I did with the batteries and leave them in because they will drain, trust me. I unwittingly tested this when I first received this from Babeland, I put the batteries in straight away, tried it in my hand then put it away, when I wanted to use it the batteries had gone. It does say quite clearly in the instructions to remove the batteries but I admit I didn’t RTFM (read the fucking manual). Another word about batteries, the LR23 12v isn’t a very common battery in the UK, we couldn’t get it in the local supermarket. It wasn’t difficult to find but investing in a couple of spares wouldn’t be a bad idea. The vibrator is 3” x 1-1/5” with a tapered head, easy to insert or remove and smooth all over. It has 3 vibrating settings and 7 pulse patterns none of which are overpowering, I’d say it was mid range for vibrations. When used internally you can hear the vibrations more than you can feel them, however if you aren’t the one using it internally you can’t hear it. I wouldn’t want to use it externally in a quiet room, probably a case of thinking about the likely level of background noise before using it in a public situation. The vibrator is completely controlled by the remote with an on/off button and +/- buttons for switching up or down through the vibrations/pulse patterns.
The remote control is cute and small enough to hold discreetly in your hand or slip into a pocket. The +/- control is in the shape of a heart and there is an LCD display which shows clearly which number setting you are currently using as well as a pattern of small hearts to indicate the rhythm of the vibrations/pulses. The range seems ok but so far I’ve only used it in one room so I reserve judgement on how far away the remote control can be before the vibrator stops being controlled.
I like the Cry Baby, its sweet and a really nice idea although I would like the vibrations to be stronger. It is easy to use and I like the hands free aspect very much. In my opinion this isn’t a toy to induce orgasms on its own but it is fun and a useful addition to my toy box. I can certainly think of a variety of entertaining ways to play with this toy.
We got in the car for the drive, we’d driven this route many times before, so many I could probably do it with my eyes closed. I always enjoy our road trips, there is something about just the two of us alone in the car that feels very intimate. This time it would be even more intimate, “Ready?” I asked, and when you nodded I pulled away. I waited until we got to the motorway before turning it on, using its lowest setting to start with. After all we would be in the car for a while and I didn’t want you to get bored. It was a lovely day sunny and bright, I knew it was going to be a very good journey….
